The Bathroom
The placement of the bathroom is important in feng shui interior design. The entrance to a house is where wealth and good opportunities come in, and it’s a negative thing if the bathroom is placed near the front door, for the reasons we talked about above. But, don’t worry if your house is structured like that. You can see to it that you always keep the bathroom door closed, as well as the toilet lid. Put a mirror on the bathroom door, to reflect chi and take focus from that space. Keep the bathroom clean, well conditioned and well lid up. No dripping faucets should be allowed, since it drains energy. No dirty fixtures, or towels either. To control the water flow, you can put a shelf over the toilet with a small bowl with flowers or pebbles. Good colors for the bathroom are light grays, cream colors and pale blue. If your bathroom is in the center of the house though, you should paint it red. The fire element will increase income and therefore disturbe the drain of wealth.
The Bedroom
The bedroom is actually the room you spend most of your time in. But yet that room is often neglected, so maybe some Feng Shui principals can improve your health, wealth and harmony. Maybe you can create a new outlook on life using these tips:
The bed is central and important. Buy a wooden bed if possible, a metal bed can conduct electricity, which can really be health concern. Avoid electrical devices near your bed. The light shouldn’t be to harsh. A headboard for the bed is good, and should be placed at the most solid wall in the room. That wall shouldn’t have any doors or windows. If you have no other option, hang a crystal between the door and the bed. Important to avoid, is to have your bed under a window with the headboard under it. You should see the entrance to the room from your bed.
